BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 29: Commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the District Administration Bandipora organized a ‘Run for Unity’ today as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations.
Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bandipora, Nizam-u-Din Bhat and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri led the event. The unity run began from the Chitternar Forest Complex.
Aimed at fostering national unity and honoring the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the event saw enthusiastic participation from Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zaffar Hussain Shawl, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Shabir Ahmad Wani, district officers, officials from various departments, students, and community members from all walks of life.
The run concluded at Faiz-e-Aam Secondary School in Bandipora, where Deputy Commissioner, M.A.Qadri administered the unity pledge to all participants, underscoring the importance of national integration.
Earlier in the day, the MLA and the Deputy Commissioner also led a plantation drive, planting saplings within the Chitternar Forest Complex premises to promote environmental stewardship.
