POONCH NOVEMBER 05: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting here today to assess the functioning of the revenue department in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC Tahir Mustafa Malik, ACR, Qadeer Ul Rehman, SDM Mendhar, Imran Kataria, SDM Surankote, Farooq Khan, all Tehsildars and concerned officers/officials.
The meeting focused on key issues including the status of vacancies, revenue record scanning, and digitization efforts.
During the discussions, the Deputy Commissioner addressed several important topics, including the Sanction Strength/Vacancies Position, Khewats, Khatas & Khasras, and the progress of digitization and geo-referencing of revenue records. The status of state land eviction, Kahcharai land, and other revenue-related matters were also reviewed in detail.
To ensure consistent performance and adherence to timelines, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) to conduct regular monitoring of progress at the tehsil level.
The meeting primarily emphasized the urgency of verifying and digitizing revenue records. The Deputy Commissioner directed relevant officials to expedite the completion of the remaining land passbook issuance process.
