DC Kulgam convenes meeting to assess preparations for Gurpurab celebrations

KULGAM, NOVEMBER 12: The Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, held a meeting today with officers and members of the Gurdwara committee in Palpora to evaluate the preparations for the Gurpurab celebrations scheduled for November 15, 2024, at Gurdwara Sahib Palpora.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Jal Shakti and KPDCL departments to ensure a continuous supply of water and electricity in Palpora.

The Executive Officer of the Municipality, Devsar, was tasked with ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness at the Gurdwara.

In terms of medical services, the health department was directed to set up medical camps staffed with fully trained personnel and emergency medical assistance, along with the provision of an ambulance. Relevant authorities were also instructed to repair any non-functional street lights and to install new lighting where necessary.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Viqar Ahmad Giri, ACR Mushtaq Ahmad, Executive Engineers, AD-FCS&CA, Executive Officer, and other district and sectoral officials, as well as representatives from the Gurdwara committee.
