POONCH, DECEMBER 13: DDC Chairperson, Tazim Akhter, along with Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to finalize projects under the PMJVK scheme of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

This centrally-sponsored initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, focuses on improving the socio-economic conditions of minorities across India. The PMJVK scheme aims to bridge socio-economic gaps through targeted interventions in health, education, and skill development.

During the meeting, the Chairperson emphasized the importance of achieving the scheme’s objectives, which aim to bridge the socio-economic gaps in various sectors, including health, education, and skill development.

A total of sixteen projects were discussed during the meeting, with twelve cases receiving approval from the committee. This initiative marks a crucial step toward enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Poonch and fostering inclusive growth in the region.

The PMJVK scheme is designed to improve living conditions in identified minority concentration areas through community infrastructure development and the provision of essential amenities.
