DC Kulgam reviews arrangements for Mahashivratri

KULGAM, FEBRUARY 20: In order to review and finalise arrangements for Mahashivratri celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan today convened a meeting of officers here at Mini-secretariat.

During the meeting, the DC directed the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted supply of power and water at Vessu Migrant Colony, Manzgam, Kulgam, Chawalgam, Devsar and other habitations of the Kashmiri Pandit community.

To facilitate the availability of traditional festive essentials, the Assistant Director Fisheries was instructed to establish sale outlets for trout fish at various locations, while the concerned officers were directed to ensure supply of vegetables, flower’s and walnuts.

Also, the Chief Medical Officer was told to ensure availability of medical facilities and deployment of ambulances at key locations.

The Executive Officers (EOs) of the municipalities were directed to maintain proper sanitation at all temples.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Altaf Khan, ACD Syed Naseer Ahmad, ACR, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Tehsildars, Engineers from PDD and PHE, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO), EOs, and representatives of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
