GANDERBAL, FEBRUARY 20: In a significant initiative for women’s empowerment, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women–Mission Shakti Ganderbal, in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Authority (TLSA) Ganderbal and ICDS Ganderbal, organized an awareness camp at Chountwaliwar, Ganderbal. The event focused on educating women about various women-centric schemes, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, and legal justice provisions.
Legal experts and officials from the concerned departments spoke at length about the rights of women, government assistance programs, and measures for ensuring gender justice.
The session aimed to enhance awareness regarding financial assistance schemes, healthcare benefits, and legal protections available to women, particularly lactating mothers and young girls.
As a part of the initiative, baby kits and blankets were distributed among lactating mothers, reinforcing the commitment to maternal and child welfare. Women attendees were encouraged to avail themselves of government support schemes and seek legal aid whenever required.
The camp witnessed active participation from women of the area, who expressed their gratitude for the informative session and the support extended to them.
Officials emphasized that such awareness programs play a crucial role in ensuring the socio-economic upliftment of women and fostering gender equality in society.
