9 New heritage projects for Phase-III approved, progress on Phase-II works assessed

DC Budgam chairs District level coordination cum implementation Committee meeting

BUDGAM, MARCH 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo presided over a meeting of the District Coordination cum Implementation Committee (DCIC) to review the progress of approved projects under phase II, and approve and identify the new projects under “scheme for Revival, Restoration, Preservation and Maintenance of Architecture and heritage in the District.

As part of the agenda, the committee finalized 9 new heritage projects for taking-up under Phase-III.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held, and the committee approved several heritage projects including Ziyarat shareef peth makhma Beerwah, Syed Alla ud din Astan, Iskanderpora, Ziyarat sharief Nowroaz baba khag, Ziyarat shamas fakeer Khanshaib, Ragneya Mata Asthapan Temple Raithen Khanshaib, Nanak charan Astan Gurudwara at Beerwah, Ziyarat Samad Mir Sahib Kremshore, Swami Nand Lal Ashram Hushroo Chadoora, Ziyarat Syed Qasim Shah Balkhi at Nowbugh Chadoora .

Additionally, a comprehensive review of the projects undertaken in Phase-II was conducted to assess progress of projects in the district.

The DC emphasised the need for preserving cultural heritage while ensuring smooth and timely execution of ongoing initiatives. Officials were directed to streamline processes, enhance interdepartmental coordination, and fast-track implementation to achieve desired outcomes

He emphasized the need to adhere to the stipulated time frame to ensure the swift commencement of work on these projects.

The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, CPO Budgam, Executive Engineers of R&B, RDD, CEO, DSEO and other members.
