Scheduled Power Outages in Srinagar: May 2025

The Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has planned maintenance and tree pruning activities, resulting in scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of Srinagar. The outages are scheduled to take place on specific dates in May 2025, affecting multiple neighborhoods.

Details of Affected Areas and Dates:

1. May 18:
– Buchwara, BB Cant, Nehru Park, Dalgate, Dal, CEN01 (Zabarwan), and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 05:00 PM).
– Hazratbal, Umer Colony, Rangpora, BARC, Habak, KU, Nigeen, Kanitar, NIT, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 05:00 PM).

2. May 18, 20, 22:
– Danihama, Khimber, Chatterhama, Telbal, Burzhama, Gassu, Shopperbagh, Rahbagh, Batpora, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 05:00 PM).

3. May 19, 22:
– Boniyar, Nowshera, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM).

4. May 20:
– Chandoosa, Malpora, Gantamulla, Sultanpora, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM).

5. May 24:
– Rohama, Chakloo, MID, Irrigation, Seer, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM).

6. May 24, 27:
– Salamabad, Bandi, Mohura, Noorkah, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM).

7. May 17, 20, 24:
– Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 04:00 PM).
– Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer, and adjoining areas (10:00 AM – 04:00 PM).

8. May 25:
– Raja Colony, BAMK Industries, Zadibal, Alamgari Bazar, Bota Kadal, Gilli Kadal, and adjoining areas (11:00 AM – 03:00 PM).

Purpose:
The shutdowns are necessary for branch cutting, tree pruning, and infrastructure maintenance to ensure reliable power supply in the long run.

Advisory:
Residents are advised to plan their activities accordingly and make necessary arrangements during these scheduled outages.
