YSS Baramulla engages students across Sopore, Wagoora, Rohama & Pattan

BARAMULLA, MAY 16: Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Baramulla continues its robust sports calendar by successfully conducting inter-school zonal level competitions across various education zones of the district including Sopore, Wagoora, Rohama, and Pattan.

In YSS Zone Sopore, an inter-school zonal level Table Tennis competition for Under-14 and Under-17 boys was organized at Subhana Stadium Sopore. A total of 20 students from different institutions participated in the event, showcasing commendable skills and sportsmanship.

Meanwhile, YSS Zone Wagoora held an inter-school zonal level Yoga competition for Under-14 and Under-17 boys at Higher Secondary School Managam, witnessing enthusiastic participation from 32 students representing various government and private institutions. The event aimed to promote physical and mental well-being through the practice of Yoga.

Simultaneously, YSS Zone Rohama organized an inter-school zonal level Badminton competition for Under-17 boys at High School Tragpora, with 35 students taking part. In the Singles category, HS Saripora emerged as the winner while HS Reban secured the runner-up position. In the Doubles category, HSS Hadipora clinched the title and HSS Balhama finished as the runner-up. All winners and runners-up were awarded appreciation certificates by the Head of Institution, HS Tragpora.

Furthermore, YSS Zone Pattan, on the second day of its inter-school zonal level Badminton competition for Under-14 and Under-17 girls, witnessed overwhelming participation of 100 students from both government and private schools, highlighting the growing interest and engagement of girls in sports activities.
