KUPWARA, JUNE 18: In order to finalize various Rent Assessment cases of the buildings under utilization of different Government departments, a meeting of the District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) was held under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan here.
As many as 23 rent cases of buildings presently used by various Government departments in the district were put forth before the Committee for fixing of monthly rent. The Committee deliberated on all the rent assessment cases in detail and each case was examined thoroughly keeping in view various administrative and other requirements.
Out of the total 23 cases, 22 cases were approved while one case was reverted for want of formalities.
On the occasion, DC impressed upon the officers to ensure that vacant government buildings are occupied for official purposes and rented accommodation remains the last option.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Kupwara, Medical Superintendent DH Handwara, CAHO, Executive Engineers and other concerned officers.
