KISHTWAR, JUNE 24: A District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the quarter ending March 2025 was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pankaj Kumar Sharma. The meeting brought together senior officials from banks and the government departments.

The meeting focused on evaluating credit flow under government-sponsored schemes, financial literacy efforts and achievements in priority sectors like agriculture, horticulture and MSMEs.

Key schemes discussed included the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), PM Mudra, PMFME, NRLM, Social Security Schemes and programs promoting  entrepreneurship.

The DC expressed concern over the poor performance of some banks and directed them to meet set targets promptly. He emphasized the importance of supporting agriculture, allied sectors, HADP, small enterprises and women-led businesses.

To strengthen financial outreach, the DC instructed the Lead District Manager (LDM) to prepare a Camp Calendar and Convergence Plan for door-to-door awareness and services delivery. These camps will be conducted in coordination with banks and relevant departments to bring services closer to the people.

Highlighting the district’s potential in millet production, the DC asked for encouraging youth and local entrepreneurs to explore millet-based enterprises—citing their economic and health benefits.

The DC asked for achieving 25 % targets by the next DLRC meeting, urging all departments and banks to work together to promote entrepreneurship, ensure timely loan disbursement, and remove any barriers to project implementation.

The meeting was attended by AD FCS&CA Shafqat Ali Keen, CAO Kushal Chandel, CHO Sajid Mustafa, LDM Harsh Rawal, LDO RBI Anil Kumar, DPM NRLM and representatives from various departments and financial institutions.
