SRINAGAR, JUNE 25: The Mechanical Irrigation department has restored all the two units of lift irrigation schemes with capacity of 10 cusec each and started irrigation supplies to the affected areas today early this morning.
The locals of Shallabugh and adjacent areas had faced difficulties for irrigation supplies for the last few days due to some technical snag in the lift irrigation schemes namely LIS Gund I Rehman.
Following the restoration, the supplies will serve the irrigation facilities for 1200 Kanal affected land approximately. The restoration of pumps has relieved the public of stress caused due to the technical snag in the lift irrigation scheme.
The department of Irrigation and Flood Control is committed to providing irrigation supplies to the farmers so that their livelihood is safeguarded.
