BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 29: Hundreds of citizens in Baramulla, including students, government officers, officials, and senior citizens, gathered and participated in a mega rally organized by the District Administration under the theme ‘Run For Unity’.

The event was organized in celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a prominent leader and the architect of a unified India.

The rally commenced from Janbaz Pora Baramulla and witnessed enthusiastic participation with participants carrying placards and banners depicting messages of national unity and patriotism. It proceeded through the main highway connecting Baramulla and Kupwara and culminated at Bipin Rawat Stadium, with participants chanting slogans that echoed the ideals of togetherness and strength through unity.

Speaking at the event, the DC expressed his appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm, especially the youth, who serve as the torchbearers of Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India.

The DC further said that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is not only a celebration of one of our nation’s greatest leaders, but it is also a reminder for all of us to strengthen the bonds of unity and harmony.

Later, the DC distributed certificates and medals among the winners of the ‘Run for Unity’ race, in recognition of their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to the spirit of unity that the event embodied.
