BUDGAM, OCTOBER 29: Celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas/ National Unity Day, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo along with SSP Budgam, Nikhal Borkar today flagged-off ‘Run for Unity’ program at Railway Station Budgam.
The event was organized by the District Administration Budgam to promote a sense of unity and integrity amongst citizens.
The event, commenced from Railway Station Budgam to Behesht e Zahra Park witnessed participation of several hundred participants, including members of civil society, respected locals and students from different schools.
ADDC Budgam, Aashiq Hussain Lily, ASP Budgam, ADC Budgam, CPO, Chief Education Officer Budgam, and other senior officers also participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the participants and highlighted the importance of commemorating the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas/ National Unity Day.
The DC paid glowing tributes to Sardar Vallabhai Patel, for his immense contributions for the unity of the nation and for his rich legacy.
He emphasised on celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas as an occasion to actively contribute to the nation’s integrity and its synergised development.
