SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 20: District Legal Services Authority, (DLSA) Shopian today observed “World Social Justice Day” at Paraworld Educations, Shopian under the directions of Mudasar Farooq, Secretary District Legal Services Authority.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted the significance of the day to serves as a global call to action for addressing poverty, exclusion, and unemployment while promoting solidarity, harmony, and equality of opportunity within and between societies.
The resource person of the programme, Deputy LADC Rafie Ahmad Ganie spoke about the historical perspective of the concept of social justice besides its constitutional and statutory provisions.
He also listed the various governmental schemes for the welfare of the public to achieve social justice and equality.
The program was attended by staff members of DLSA Shopian, PLVs, teachers and students.
