RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 04: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today convened a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Khari under weekly sBlock Diwas programme aimed at reaching out to people in far-flung areas to solve their problems.
During the camp, the Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to public grievances and resolved most of the issues related to civic amenities, services and supplies on the spot by issuing necessary directions to the concerned departments.
The camp witnessed active participation from public representatives, including the DDC Member.
A team of officers, including SDM Banihal Mohammad Naseeb Bajran; Assistant Commissioner Development Sheraz Ahmed; Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; Tehsildar Khari, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Child Development Project Officer, Block Development Officer, besides officers from the line departments were present to respond and document the public demands.
Responding to health services related issues, the Deputy Commissioner informed that an amount of ₹3.75 crore has been allocated to strengthen healthcare services in three Primary Health Centres and ten Health Sub-Centres in the area, which includes provision for a Mobile Health Van.
Expressing concern over recent fire incidents, the Deputy Commissioner asked the SDM to prepare a detailed report of the affected families. He informed that the district administration has decided to make available fire extinguishers in vulnerable areas to prevent major fire incidents. “The matter has already been taken up with the Fire and Emergency Services Department” he added.
Regarding forest clearance issues affecting road projects, the Deputy Commissioner directed the executing agencies to pursue the matter with the concerned authorities to ensure early resolution. On the issue of lack of mobile connectivity in upper areas of Block Khari, he informed that necessary directions have already been issued and the problem would be resolved soon.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the public to avail maximum benefits of government welfare schemes. The officers from the line departments guided the public on the process of applying for the benefits of different schemes.
