ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 25: A three-day training program for Anganwadi workers was inaugurated today at the Town Hall, Anantnag, under the theme ‘Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi.’

The program, aimed at strengthening the Poshan project in the district, was launched by Sandeep Singh Bali, the District Programme Officer (DPO) for Poshan, Anantnag, and the Joint Director of Mission Poshan, J&K.

During the inauguration, the DPO and Joint Director interacted with the participating Anganwadi workers, stressing the importance of nutrition and the vital role of this training in enhancing the delivery of Poshan services.

They encouraged the workers to approach the training with dedication and enthusiasm to contribute effectively to the health and well-being of children and women in the region.

The training focused on aspects such as Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), proper distribution of supplementary nutrition, and addressing issues such as Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM), and anemia among beneficiaries. Participants were trained on providing holistic care to children while ensuring that their nutritional needs are met through the Poshan project’s initiatives.

The DPO said that Poshan project is committed to ensuring that every child receives the best possible care, education, and nutrition. This training will empower Anganwadi workers to deliver on this promise effectively, he added.
