REASI, SEPTEMBER 24: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025, a series of activities were organized across Reasi district today, marking the 8th day of the celebrations amid massive community involvement and spirit of service.

The Municipal Council Reasi undertook wall painting and beautification of the water body at Wazir Bowli, accompanied by a plantation and cleanliness drive. In addition, a door-to-door awareness campaign was conducted to educate citizens about waste segregation and the PMAY 2.0 (Angikaar Campaign).

Under the Department of Social Welfare, the Child Helpline Team in collaboration with the Department of AYUSH organized a Medical Camp and Awareness Program at AWC Vijaypur. The programme focused on creating awareness regarding child rights and related issues among the participants.

The SANKALP – Hub for Empowerment of Women, Reasi, in collaboration with the Police Department, organised an awareness programme on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan”. The programme also included sessions on nutrition and awareness under Poshan Abhiyan at CFC Pouni.

The School Education Department engaged students in art, slogan and essay competitions on the theme “Spirit of Sewa.” A remarkable participation was witnessed, with 753 schools taking part and 45,933 students showcasing their creativity and understanding of the values of service and social responsibility.

In addition to these, various other departments actively contributed to the spirit of Sewa Parv by conducting awareness drives, community outreach programmes, cleanliness initiatives, and plantation activities across different blocks of the district. These initiatives highlighted collective responsibility and community engagement towards a cleaner, healthier and socially aware Reasi.

The district administration emphasized that Sewa Parv is not only a celebration of service but also a reminder of citizens’ role in building a responsible and empowered society. The momentum of activities will continue in the coming days with wider participation of communities and institutions.
