BUDGAM, JANUARY 25: The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of GDC Khansahib today organised a function to celebrate the 15th National Voters Day, here.
The function was organized by sub-district administration Khansahib at the college, wherein, college Principal Dr. Nargis Bano and other staff members took voters’ pledge.
Dr. Sajad Padder, college convener of the ELC, spoke on ‘Political Equality and Significance of Voting for a Healthy Democracy’. He highlighted the imperatives of voting especially by the youth for ensuring an accountable and people friendly government.
Two college students Arbeena Ashraf and Arfat Bashir also spoke on voting and legitimacy in a democratic system.
