Srinagar: Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has decided to start 24×7 specialty services in five specialities in all district and sub district hospitals of Kashmir.
All chief medical officers have been directed to keep a list of all specialist doctors, medical officers and consultants ready along with their current roasters.
A committee has been constituted to oversee the process of starting 24×7 services in five specialities comprising Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, General Medicine and Paediatrics, said an order a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
For this, Dr Mir Mushtaq Spokesperson DHSK has been designated as Nodal Officer of 24×7 specialty services.
“Accordingly the committee of following officers is hereby constituted to oversee the process of starting 24×7 services in the above mentioned specialties. The committee will hold meetings with concerned Chief Medical Officers and Medical superintendents to finalize the roasters /logistics for the same,” it said.
The committee members, as per the order include, Dr Kousar Amin Assistant Director DHSK, Dr Shabir Siddique Divisional Nodal Officer SICUs, Dr Mir Mushtaq Spokesperson DHSK and Dr Shahzaman Senior Assistant DHSK
“In this regard, Chief Medical officers are hereby directed to keep the list of all specialist Doctors Medical Officers & Consultants ready along with their current roasters. Further, Dr.Mir Mushtaq Spokesperson DHSK is designated as Nodal Officer of 24×7 specialty services,” the order said—(KNO)
