KATHUA, FEBRUARY 23: A group of 250 students drawn from GHSS Hiranagar, GHSS Marheen, GHS Sherpur, GHS Hiranagar and GHS Marheen today embarked on an educational tour to the prestigious Atal Setu Bridge in Basholi. Zonal Education Officer Hiranagar Des Raj and other Officials led the group of the students.

The tour aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences and foster a deeper appreciation for India’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The tour began with a visit to the Atal Setu Bridge, an architectural marvel that stands as a symbol of engineering excellence. Students were fascinated by the bridge’s unique design, which allows it to withstand the turbulent waters of the Ravi River. They learned about the construction process, the challenges faced by engineers, and the bridge’s significance as a vital transportation link in the region.

The tour also included visits to several educational monuments and sites of historical importance in the area. Students explored ancient temples, forts, and museums, gaining insights into the region’s rich past and cultural diversity. They engaged with local experts and historians, who shared captivating stories and legends that brought history to life. Throughout the tour, students demonstrated a keen interest in learning and actively participated in discussions and activities.

They asked thoughtful questions, expressed their curiosity, and showed a genuine appreciation for the opportunity to explore new places and cultures. The educational tour to Atal Setu Bridge Basholi was a resounding success. It provided students with a unique and enriching learning experience, igniting their passion for history, culture, and engineering. The tour also strengthened bonds between students from different schools, fostering a sense of unity and community.
