BUDGAM, JULY 17: To combat the growing menace of drug abuse among youth, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Beerwah, in collaboration with Block Medical Officer Beerwah and Zone Education Office (ZEO) Beerwah, organized an impactful awareness program on “Drug Abuse and its Ill Effects’ today.
The event aimed to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse, its physical and mental health consequences, and preventive measures.
The program featured expert speakers from the health department who highlighted the alarming rise of drug addiction among adolescents and its devastating impact on families and society.
Experts urged students to stay vigilant and adopt healthy lifestyle choices. Interactive sessions, real-life case studies, and awareness videos were used to reinforce the message. Students also participated in a pledge-taking ceremony, vowing to stay away from drugs and spread awareness in their communities.
