POONCH, JULY 18: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting here in the conference hall of the DC Office to review the status of land identification for the construction of Panchayat Ghars and SBM projects in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner was briefed by the Block Development Officers (BDOs) and concerned officers regarding the current status of land availability and project progress under the twin schemes.
The officers shared detailed updates on the hurdles and development of Panchayat Ghars and execution of SBM initiatives in their respective blocks.
Stressing the importance of swift implementation, the Deputy Commissioner directed the BDOs to promptly resolve land-related issues in coordination with the respective Tehsildars. He further instructed the concerned officers to expedite the tendering process for SBM infrastructure to avoid unnecessary delays.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineer REW, Tehsildar Haveli, while Tehsildars from Mandi, Mendhar, Surankote, Mankote and Balakote joined the meeting virtually along with all BDOs of the district.
