RAMBAN, JULY 29: In line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Utsav, a Camp for distribution of free Aids and Assistive Devices among Children with Special Needs (CWSN) was organized here today. The event was held under the aegis of Samagra Shiksha in collaboration with Artificial Limbs
Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) and with the active support of the District Administration Ramban.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, distributed aids and assistive devices to the beneficiaries. He appreciated the Education Department for coordinating the event and ALIMCO for its efforts in providing equipment to specially-abled children.
DDC Member Renuka Katoch, Chief Education Officer Mukhtar Ahmed, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jagdesh Sharma and several other officers were also present.
A total of 14 beneficiaries from the six education zones of the district received various aids and assistive devices at the camp. These included wheelchairs, CP chairs with commodes, hearing aids, Teaching Learning Material (TLM) kits, and Sugamya canes, all aimed at improving the quality of life and education accessibility for CWSN children.
The speakers underlined the need for implementing NEP 2020 in its true spirit, ensuring that no child is left behind in the journey of education.
