KULGAM, JULY 29: A team of Drug Control Authorities of district Kulgam seized a huge quantity of contraband formulations/ scheduled drugs in Pahloo area of Kulgam.
The drugs were recovered from a medical shop, after a surprise raid for different violations with respect to the conditions of licences, non maintenance of records and non disclosure of information under various provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 & Rules thereunder.
The shop was sealed on the spot u/s 22(d) of Drugs Act, and further investigation was taken up.
The drive was part of continued efforts to plug gaps in the misuse of habit forming drugs especially the drugs falling under scheduled category and to bring transparency in sale and purchase of all medicines available to the patients/ general public.
