SHOPIAN, JULY 31: A vibrant and impactful programme under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative was today organized at Government RMHSS Keegam, Shopian.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large gathering of female students from various schools falling under the educational zone Keegam.
The highlight of the event was a seminar where eminent speakers and subject experts delivered insightful talks on the importance of girls’ education and the empowerment of women. They emphasized the need to ensure equal opportunities for girls and promote awareness regarding their rights and potential.
In addition, students themselves took the stage to deliver powerful speeches reflecting their understanding and commitment towards the cause of women empowerment and gender equality.
To further engage and inspire the participants, a series of competitions were held including Essay Writing, Painting, and Slogan Writing. The events drew enthusiastic participation, and the winners and participants were felicitated with mementoes and certificates as a token of appreciation and encouragement.
The programme culminated with an inspiring address by the Principal of Govt. RMHSS Keegam, who highlighted the pivotal role of girls’ education in nation-building. She also threw light on various interventions under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme and other government initiatives aimed at the welfare and upliftment of women.
