POONCH, AUGUST 07: Ashok Kumar Sharma formally assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner Poonch today, succeeding Vikas Kundal. Officers and staff of the district administration welcomed the new Deputy Commissioner with a special reception.
A welcome ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik. Sharma was also received at Bhimber Gali (BG) by senior officials including ADC, PO ICDS, SDM Mendhar, AD FCS & CA and others.
Previously, Ashok Kumar Sharma served as Special Secretary to the Government in the Labour and Employment Department, Jammu and Kashmir.
In his introductory address, he emphasised dedication, transparency and vigilance in public service, urging officers to work proactively for the welfare and development of Poonch district.
