DODA, AUGUST 07: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, today chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the saturation of beneficiary-oriented schemes. The meeting aimed to assess the current status of scheme coverage, identify gaps, and formulate strategies to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries in the district are included under various central and UT-sponsored welfare schemes.

The meeting was attended by the Programme Officer ICDS, Superintendent Engineer Hydraulic Circle, CPO Doda, General Manager DIC, officers from the Departments of Development and Panchayati Raj, Health, Education, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Executive Engineers from PHE and JPDCL, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees, LDM, and representatives from NRLM and the Public Grievance Cell.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised achieving 100% saturation of individual beneficiary-oriented schemes such as PMAY, Ayushman Bharat, old-age and widow pensions, scholarship schemes, livelihood missions, Kisan Credit Cards, Ujjwala Yojana, and others. He directed officers to provide updated data on pending beneficiaries, conduct special camps for enrolment, and adopt a convergence approach to maximise outreach. Transparency in beneficiary identification through Aadhaar-seeded databases and door-to-door verification was also stressed.

Special focus was laid on identifying marginalised groups and remote areas that may have been inadvertently left out. The Deputy Commissioner called for intensified awareness campaigns, better inter-departmental coordination, and efficient service delivery. He reiterated that saturation is not only a developmental goal but a step towards inclusive governance and social justice.

Key issues discussed included the status of nutrition for pregnant women, Janani Suraksha Yojana, vaccination, animal insemination, PMAG and Abha card disbursement, PM Kusum, girls’ toilets, power and water facilities in schools, PMAY Urban, Fasal Bima Yojana, distribution of Smart Kisan Credit Cards, PM Muft Bijli Yojana, OBC and ST certificate issuance, PMEGP, scholarship schemes, and wages for labourers.
