DC Srinagar inspects work progress on under-construction Hostel for wards of Ex-Servicemen/ Martyrs at Peerbagh

SRNAGAR, AUGUST 25: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo Monday conducted a site visit to under-construction Hostel for wards of Ex-Servicemen/Martyrs at Peerbagh and inspected the pace and quality of work being carried out on the project.

The project is aimed to provide residential facilities and support for the children of those who have served or sacrificed for the nation.

During the visit, DC was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Tehsildar Chanpora, Executive Engineers of R&B, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, and other officers.

DC took round of the under-construction building and reviewed the ongoing construction works. He directed the executing agency to increase manpower and expedite the pace of work to ensure timely completion of the project.

On the occasion, DC was informed that the hostel, being built at an estimated cost of Rs 7.44 crore, comprises a Ground+2 structure with 25 rooms and a capacity of 100 beds. The facility will cater to the residential needs of the wards of ex-servicemen and martyrs.
