PULWAMA, AUGUST 25: As part of the Union Territory-level programme, district administration Pulwama today virtually joined the main event of distribution of retrofitted motorized tricycles among specially-abled individuals by the Chief Minister of J&K at SKICC, Srinagar, and simultaneously organised a similar distribution function in the district.
During the event, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pampore, Hasnain Masoodi; MLA Tral, Rafiq Ahmad Naik; and MLA Rajpora, Ghulam Mohi Uddin Mir distributed 16 retrofitted motorised tricycles to beneficiaries from different areas of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLAs appreciated the efforts of the Social Welfare department in implementing welfare schemes on the ground and urged for sustained efforts to strengthen support mechanisms for specially-abled persons.
The event also saw participation of district and sectoral officers along with officials and beneficiaries of various schemes of Government.
