DC Doda reviews relief, restoration measures in rain-affected areas of Gandoh

DODA, AUGUST 29: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Harvinder Singh today chaired a review meeting at Dak Bungalow Gandoh to assess the situation in rain-affected areas of Gandoh and its adjoining regions.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the damages caused by the recent heavy rainfall, which led to disruption of road connectivity, damage to houses, water supply issues, electricity outages, health services and other essential facilities in the area. He directed the concerned departments to ensure immediate restoration of critical infrastructure and to extend timely relief to the affected population.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officers to submit a daily status report on the restoration works and progress in the affected areas, stressing the need for coordinated efforts to minimize public inconvenience.

The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, SDM Gandoh, ACD Doda, CEO Doda, CMO Doda, concerned XENs, Tehsildars and officials from other key departments.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with senior citizens at Dak Bungalow Gandoh, attentively listening to their concerns regarding the disruption of essential services caused by the recent rainfall. He assured the elderly residents that timely action would be taken to restore these vital services bringing much-needed relief to the community.
