DODA, AUGUST 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Krishan Lal, today flagged off a batch of 20 farmers for a seven-day training-cum-exposure visit to Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, under the Apiculture Development Scheme and Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
The farmers were flagged off from the DC Office Complex Doda in the presence of Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar, Chief Agriculture Officer Harbans Singh and other concerned officers.
While interacting with the farmers, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged them to actively participate in the training sessions, interact with experts and progressive farmers and gain practical insights into modern apiculture practices. He emphasized that the knowledge and experience gained during the visit would help enhance honey production, improve quality standards and create better livelihood opportunities for farmers in the district.
The exposure visit has been organised with the objective of providing farmers with practical knowledge and first-hand exposure to modern techniques, scientific practices and innovative approaches in apiculture and allied agricultural activities.
