RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 04: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today convened a meeting of concerned officers and representatives of religious organizations to finalize the arrangements for the Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W).
Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta; Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Charak; ACR, Shokat Hayat Mattoo and other concerned officers besides Imams of various Masjids and representatives of Muslim community attended the meeting.
The DC took a comprehensive review of arrangements related to sanitation, water and power supply, security, traffic management, market regulation and availability of essential commodities.
He directed the officials of PDD and Jal Shakti Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply.
Similar instructions were also issued to the Health Department for providing health care facilities. The Executive Officer MCs were directed to conduct cleanliness drives in the market, especially around the mosques and repair the dysfunctional streetlights ahead of the auspicious day.
To curb profiteering and ensure availability of quality essentials, the Food Safety department was instructed to conduct joint intensive market inspections in coordination with Revenue, Police and Legal Metrology officials.
The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure all adequate arrangements regarding Eid celebration. The DC directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure all adequate arrangements in their respective jurisdictions regarding Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) celebration.
