District level Kala Utsav-2025 held at Govt. GHSS Shopian

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 15: The district level Kala Utsav, 2025 was today organized at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Shopian by the Education department Shopian.

The event brought together the toppers of four educational zones, who displayed their creativity and skills in a wide range of art forms, showcasing the vibrant cultural and artistic talents of students.

A total of 244 students enthusiastically participated in the competition, while more than 630 students witnessed the festival of talent and creativity. The participants presented performances and exhibits in solo song, solo music, group song, solo dance, group dance, 2D art, 3D art, and several other art forms, making the event a colorful celebration of youthful expression.

The programme was attended by Chief Education Officer Shopian, Mukhtar Ahmad Shah; Principal Govt. BHSS Shopian, Mohammad Ashraf, Head of Institution Govt. GHSS Shopian, and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Shopian lauded the students for their outstanding participation and creativity. He remarked that “art is a way to express the heart,” and emphasized that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 strongly advocates for identifying and nurturing the inborn talents of students to help them shape meaningful careers.

The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, during which winners and participants were awarded for their remarkable performances and contributions.
