500 Artists participate in Viksit Bharat – “Sewa Parv” Artist Camp organized by JKAACL, NZCC

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 26: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, in collaboration with the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, today organized a grand “Sewa Parv” Artist Camp at the Academy premises in which Five hundred (500) senior artists of J&K , students of different Universities, college and schools participated showcasing the vision of a Viksit Bharat on canvas.

The event was graced by MLA Bahu Assembly constituency; Vikram Randhawa, MLA Jammu West; Arvind Gupta, Secretary JKAACL; Harvinder Kour and Padma Shri Ramalo Ram, eminent artist from Jammu. The dignitaries interacted with the young artists, appreciated their innovative works, and encouraged them to keep contributing to the cultural fabric of the nation. Harvinder Kaur, while welcoming the guests and artists stated that the event was organised in connection with Sewa Parv which is a national initiative to celebrate the spirit of Sewa (service) as the truest form of patriotism, contributing to the end goal of VIKSIT BHARAT.

In his remarks, Vikram Randhawa lauded the efforts of NZCC, Patiala, for organizing such a meaningful event in collaboration with JKAACL. They noted that the paintings reflected not only the aspirations of youth but also the pride in India’s cultural ethos and civilizational values.

Arvind Gupta stated that it was an inspiring step towards instilling the spirit of service (Sewa) and nation-building among the younger generation.

The unique event witnessed the participation of nearly 500 artists, including professionals, college students, and school children, who portrayed their creative imagination of a developed India enriched with cultural heritage. With brushes and vibrant colors, the participants gave expression to the dream of a progressive and self-reliant nation, highlighting India’s leadership and growing stature in the world.

The competition was held in different categories. In the College Students Category, Shriya Gupta from Model Institute of Engineering and Technology won the first prize, Zoiya Mangral of Government Women’s College, Parade bagged the second prize, and Divya Pathore from IMFA, Jammu won the third prize. In the School Students Category, Prakruti Papanna and Lavanya Gupta of Stephens International School bagged the first and third positions respectively, while Akriti Sharma of Senior Secondary School, Paloura secured the second position. Falak Gupta, Ksrana Bali and Anubhav Sharma received consolation prizes.

The “Sewa Parv” Artist Camp concluded with a vote of thanks by Javaid Rahi Divisional Head JKAACL Jammu.
