KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 30: As part of the nationwide Sewa Parv 2025 celebrations, a grand function was held at GDC Kilam, which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan along with SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal.
On the occasion, the DC distributed sanction letters among unemployed youth and handed over house keys to families under the Ghar Parwesh initiative.
The celebrations also witnessed the launch of plantation activities and a sanitation drive, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and cleanliness.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that Sewa Parv is an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of volunteerism, social contribution, and collective responsibility.
He stressed the importance of community participation in cleanliness drives, proper waste segregation, and reducing plastic use to build a sustainable and eco-friendly future.
Stalls were set up by various departments to register beneficiaries and disseminate information about different government schemes, ensuring wider public awareness and access to welfare initiatives.
Teachers, students, volunteers, and local residents participated enthusiastically in the programme, adding vibrancy and making the celebrations impactful.
