DODA, OCTOBER 16: A series of Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) camps were today organized at multiple locations across Doda district with the aim to provide quality healthcare services to people living in far-flung and underserved areas.

In Medical Block Assar, the camp was held under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Dr. Syed Mohammad Ismail, at Village Charota, where a total of 51 patients were examined and provided necessary medical care.

Similarly, as many as 112 individuals benefitted from the medical camp organized at Village Sinoo under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Gandoh, Dr. Farooq Saleem.

A range of health services were provided during the camps, including general medical consultations, free medicines, screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), hemoglobin and blood sugar testing and sputum collection for suspected TB cases.

Additionally, awareness sessions on health, hygiene and preventive care were also held to educate the local population on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

These MMU initiatives continue to play a vital role in bridging the healthcare gap and ensuring that essential medical services reach every corner of the district.
