UDHAMPUR, JULY 17: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa, today conducted a public grievance redressal camp at Mansar, during his visit to Block Majalta.
CEO, SMDA, Vivek Puri, PO Poshan, Subash Dogra, ACP, Dr Ashwani Hansa and other officers also participated in the camp.
The public outreach programme witnessed active participation from former PRI members and locals of adjoining panchayats, who projected a number of public issues and demands which includes augmentation of drinking water supply, upgradation of the Primary Health Centre along with installation of an ultrasound machine, construction of boundary walls at Primary School Battal and Higher Secondary School Mansar, and development of a library, smart classrooms, an auditorium and an examination hall at HSS Mansar, resolution of power curtailment issues, installation of footpath lighting and women’s washrooms, establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya, rationalization of Anganwadi centres, development of a new park and stadium at Mansar, increase in the number of boats along with introduction of Shikara services etc.
The DC gave a patient hearing to all issues and demands and issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers for their prompt redressal. He instructed the officers to conduct first-hand assessments of all grievances and ensure that genuine issues are resolved on priority within the stipulated timeframe.
Emphasizing responsive and people-centric governance, the Deputy Commissioner urged officers to work with dedication, sincerity and accountability while addressing public grievances. He also directed all departments to organize awareness camps in their respective areas to educate people about various government welfare schemes so that eligible beneficiaries can avail maximum benefits.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited various government institutions in the area to inspect their functioning and directed the concerned officials to ensure efficient service delivery and improved public facilities.
