RAMBAN, OCTOBER 16: In line with the directives of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, a joint inspection drive was conducted in Gool Market to ensure strict compliance with drug control regulations.

The inspection team comprised Tehsildar Harjeet Singh, Naib Tehsildar Intakhab Ahmed, Drug Inspector Imtiaz Ahmed and Police Sub-Inspector Rohit Sharma.

During the inspection, the team thoroughly checked drug licenses, stock registers, expiry dates of medicines and overall adherence to regulatory norms. Shop owners were instructed to maintain proper records, ensure availability of genuine medicines and strictly avoid sale of psychotropic drugs without valid prescriptions.

The drive aimed to safeguard public health, promote accountability and transparency in the pharmaceutical trade and ensure that citizens receive safe and quality medicines.

They also reviewed the implementation of new GST reforms on medical and other products.
The inspection revealed that all chemist shops checked were operating with valid licenses and proper documentation. No unlicensed establishments were found and the sales records showed no evidence of diversion of psychotropic drugs.
