During the visit, the Labour Commissioner inspected registration camps established by the Labour Department and reviewed the progress achieved in the registration of various service providers associated with the Yatra, including Ponywalas, Palkiwalas, Pithuwalas and Hawkers. He interacted with the registered beneficiaries and assessed the arrangements put in place for facilitating a hassle-free registration process.

A total of 12,545 Service Providers have been registered as of 02-06-2026. The Labour Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved and directed the field officers to further expedite the registration process to ensure that all eligible service providers are covered well before the commencement of the Yatra.

On the occasion, RFID cards were distributed among registered service providers, and the Labour Commissioner directed the field functionaries to ensure the timely distribution of RFID cards to all registered beneficiaries. He emphasized that RFID-enabled registration is essential for efficient management, safety and seamless coordination during the pilgrimage.

S. Charandeep Singh stressed the importance of maintaining updated records of all service providers and instructed officers to extend every possible assistance to stakeholders. He called upon the field staff to work in close coordination with all concerned agencies to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
