Special Lok Adalat held in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 18: In Compliance to the directions of Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, a Special Lok Adalat to settle Cheque Bounce Cases was held today under the Chairmanship of Virinder Singh Bhou (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Udhampur/Chairman DLSA) and under the overall supervision of Dr. Smriti Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Udhampur.

A total 5 Benches were constituted in the District. The Special Lok Adalat was organized by DLSA Udhampur for the amicable settlement of disputes between parties, thereby reducing the burden of litigation on regular Courts.

A total number of 11 cases were taken up, of which one case was resolved by achieving a settlement of Rs 1.50 Lakh.
