SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 28: Auditions for Shopian Idol, Season 2.0, being organized by the District Administration Shopian under the banner of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, today commenced at Government Degree College (GDC) Shopian.
The auditions, scheduled from 27th to 29th November 2025, witnessed an overwhelming response from the youth of the district.
This year’s edition received around 85 registrations, reflecting the growing interest and enthusiasm among young aspiring singers. On the first day of auditions, 30 participants were screened by the panel, showcasing remarkable talent and passion for music.
The initiative aims to inspire young people to participate in positive, skill-based pursuits and stay away from the ill effects of drug abuse.
The District Administration expressed satisfaction over the massive participation and stated that such programmes play a vital role in youth empowerment, confidence-building, and promoting a healthy, drug-free society.
The auditions will continue over the next two days, culminating in the selection of finalists who will move forward to the next stages of Shopian Idol 2.0.
