KATHUA, DECEMBER 06: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting of the District Task Force to review preparedness for the National Immunization Day (Pulse Polio) scheduled on 21 December 2025.

It was informed that the district has a target of 92,238 children (0–5 years), for which 580 vaccination booths will be established across 5 blocks. A total of 2,320 booth team members, 115 supervisors, 16 transit teams, 9 mobile teams and 35 vaccine delivery points have been mobilized to ensure smooth conduct of the drive. The district has mapped 112 high-risk areas including slums, brick kilns, nomadic clusters, industrial zones and stone crusher sites.

It was given out that booth-level vaccination will be held on 21 December at designated centres, while house-to-house coverage will be carried out on 22 and 23 December across all blocks.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all stakeholders to ensure 100 percent vaccination of the target population with special focus on high-risk habitations and transit points.
