District Admin Anantnag organizes CBRN Mock Exercise

ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 10: Strengthen emergency preparedness for disaster management in CBRN scenario, the District Administration Anantnag in collaboration with NDRF/SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, Civil Defence, Health and other line departments, organised a mock exercise today at Dak Bangalow Khanabal.

The mock drill was held under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (CEO, DDMA) Anantnag and focussed on evaluating the response capabilities, coordination mechanism and operational readiness for any disaster-like situation at district level.

During the mock exercise, the participating teams practiced key operations including rapid assessment and sealing of affected area, evacuation and triage of victims, decontamination procedures, on-sight medical management and transportation of causalities and coordination between field responders, Emergency Operation Center, and District Authorities.

Officers and officials from key departments like NDRF/SDRF, F&E Services, Health, R&B, Revenue, Jal Shakti, RDD, FCS&CA, KPDCL, I&FC, Horticulture, Agriculture and NSS/NCC volunteers, among others, participated in the mock exercise.
