KATHUA, DECEMBER 22: As part of Good Governance Week (December 19–25), the District Administration Kathua on Day-4 continued its ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ outreach programmes across the district to ensure doorstep delivery of services and effective grievances redressal.
An outreach camp was held at Katli-Block Lohai Malhar, where officers interacted with the public, addressed grievances on the spot and spread awareness about welfare schemes.
At Hiranagar, a public grievances redressal cum awareness camp was held on Ramlila Grounds in the presence of local Member Legislative Assembly, Vijay Kumar Sharma; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Phulail Singh and officers from line department. The locals raised multiple demands, seeking shifting of the Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant, relocation of the Patwar Khana to Kootah village, completion of the Sports Council Ground, repair of water pipelines, replacement of worn-out electric wires and widening of the Kootah–Saida–Sohal road.
The officials noted the grievances and assured timely redressal of genuine issues. The officials also gave away Swamitva Property Cards and sanction letters under SMAS and IGNOAPS pension schemes to the eligible persons.
Similar camps were organised at PH Plahi-Tehsil Basohli and in the Bani subdivision, focusing on grievances redressal, revenue services and awareness about government schemes.
