MSME-DFO- Jammu organises Entrepreneurship Awareness Program at ITI Banihal

BANIHAL, FEBRUARY 09: An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) was today organized at Conference Hall, ITI, Banihal, with the objective of sensitizing participants and youth about self-employment opportunities and the entrepreneurship support schemes of the Government.

The programme was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India and under the guidance of Joint Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, A. K. Tamaria and Deputy Commissioner, Ramban.

The programme featured addresses by Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Jammu; Swaroop Katwal, Functional Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Ramban; Parvez Iqbal, Superintendent, ITI Banihal; District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Ramban; Harvinder Singh, Director, RSETI, Ramban and officials from the banking sector.

The resource persons briefed the participants on the objectives of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme, flagship MSME schemes, industrial incentives, skill development initiatives, entrepreneurship training, handholding support mechanisms and availability of institutional finance for setting up micro and small enterprises.

An interactive question–answer session was held during which participants raised queries related to training, finance and enterprise establishment. The programme witnessed active participation from around 130 participants and was appreciated for providing practical insights into entrepreneurship and self-employment avenues.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Abid Hussain, Young Professional-Ministry of MSME Government of India.
