RAMBAN, MARCH 25: District Industries and Commerce Ramban, on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, and under the guidance of Director Industries and Commerce Jammu Arun Manhas, on Wednesday organized a one-day workshop at Government Degree College Batote.
General Manager, District Industries Centre, Ravinder Kumar coordinated the event. The programme was started with the welcome address and speech of Assistant Professor Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat.
The students and aspirants were educated regarding Udyam Registrations for RAMP, PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma and other various schemes being implemented by the Industries & Commerce Department.
Project Manager DIC Kuldeep Singh highlighted the schemes being implemented by the District Industries Centre. He elaborated on the process for registering applications on the portal of PMEGP and encouraged the youth to take advantage of loan facilities provided by the District Industries Centre.
The educated unemployed youth were sensitized to the benefits / subsidies they can get to start their own ventures under the PMEGP Scheme in manufacturing and service sectors. He also elaborated other schemes such as NCSS- a central sponsored scheme, besides incentives provided by the UT Government under J&K Industrial Policy- 2021-30. Awareness regarding PM Vishwakarma, a holistic and technically upgraded skill scheme was also generated during the programme.
The entrepreneurs were also motivated by the officials regarding the benefits of the MSME Health Clinic registration and urged to register their ventures in MSME Health Clinic Portal (https://jkmsmehealthclinic.jk.gov.in).
The Employment Consultant, Lovepreet Singh, Department of Labour and Employment also delivered a detailed speech, elaborating different schemes being implemented by the Labour and Employment Department. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the College Principal Dr. Arti Padon Gupta.
