BANDIPORA, APRIL 06: As part of the ongoing activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), an awareness programme was conducted today at HSS Nadihal to sensitise students and the general public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and drug-free life.

The programme was organised by the Education Department as the nodal department, in collaboration with Social Welfare, Rural Development Department (RDD) and Health Department.

During the programme, participants were sensitised about the ill-effects of substance abuse and its serious consequences on individuals, families and society. Resource persons highlighted the importance of early awareness, prevention and coordinated efforts among departments and the community to effectively combat drug abuse.

Speakers stressed the need for collective responsibility in eradicating the menace of drugs and encouraged students to make informed choices and stay away from substance abuse.

Participants were urged to act as ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign and actively spread awareness in their communities to build a drug-free society.
