BHADERWAH, APRIL 06: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sunil Kumar Bhutyal on Monday chaired a meeting here at Dak Bungalow to review arrangements for the Baisakhi festival in the region.
The meeting held detailed discussions regarding the smooth conduct of Baisakhi Melas scheduled at different religious and tourist spots. On April 13, melas shall be organised at Subar Naag (Chinta), Sibbi Naag (Neota), Hirna Naag (Taisana) and Chatur Bhuj Naag. On April 14, festivities will take place at Nagni Mata, Vasuki Naag (Vasak Dehra) and Boung Naag (Guttasa). Similarly, on April 15, celebrations are scheduled at Dhairo Naag (Bhalara Kapra) and Mel Naag, among other locations.
The ADC emphasized ensuring adequate arrangements for essential services including uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, proper road connectivity, sanitation and availability of essential commodities for the convenience of devotees and visitors. He directed all concerned departments to work in coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the festival.
The meeting was attended by officers including DFO, SDPO, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), Tehsildars, AO BDA, BDOs, BMO, AE JPDCL, AEE Jal Shakti, AEE PMGSY, EO Municipal Committee Bhadarwah, Fire and Emergency Services and President of Sanatan Dharam Sabha along with prominent citizens.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in advance for the successful and peaceful celebration of the Baisakhi festival in the region.
