DC Anantnag holds meeting with Service Providers, Assures full support of Admin for smooth conduct of SANJY-2026

ANANTNAG, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, (Yatra Officer Pahalgam Axis), Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat today chaired a meeting at Pahalgam Club to review the preparedness of service providers for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, CEO PDA, SDM Pahalgam, AD Tourism, Tehsildar & EO MC Pahalgam, representatives from the Army, BRO, other officials and representatives of various service providers.

During the meeting, representatives of Pony Walas, Taxi Drivers, and Tent Association put forth their demands and issues before the DC. The demands mainly focused on the issued faced last year and the anticipated needs for the upcoming Yatra.

The DC gave a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into and redressed on priority by the District Administration. He stressed the importance of coordination among all stakeholders and urged them to extend full cooperation for smooth and seamless conduct of the Yatra.

Appreciating the role of all service providers in previous Yatras, the DC expressed confidence that they will keep the tradition and work with full commitment during the ensuing SANJY-2026. To provide the pilgrims all requisite facilities so they feel a blissful and enriching experience, is our collectuve responsibility, he remarked.

Dr. Bilal on the occasion also highlighted the role of service providers and other stakeholders in boosting tourism in the region by providing better and easily accessible facilities to the visitors.
